Picnic by the lake brought to Uyo at the akwa-ibom golf course and resort. This has had a lot of rebroadcasting during the past few months. This is also an Open Mic event brought to you by the sea-view poetry club. It also hosted an online poetry competition on social media via the Facebook handle. It was won by a fair bit who tagged himself "imagination". Picnic by the lake kicked off today by 4:30pm at the Marina services area .There was a lot of performances from lots of distinguished poets from all over Nigeria with the love guru Amu Nnadi. Thanks to the ibom golf course and the Port-Harcourt Literary Society the evening was a blast from performances by the expendable Walter Sax, Imagination, Amu Nnadi and so many more.
The second day would have a long tennis competition with an award of 50k to the winner. A tour would also be taken round the ibom golf course and it would be followed by a picnic at the end.
